4.275

就五逆中，初先明其懺悔可救，後明其人不悔之過。前中先明可救之行，慚愧生悔起護法心；下明可救，先說其人不名五逆，「若施」已下舉施得福成其可救。不懺之過，文顯可知。

Regarding the five heinous sins, first he makes clear that through repentance one can be saved, and thereafter explains the fault of that person's failure to repent. In the former part, he first explains the salvific practice: feeling shame, producing repentance, and giving rise to the mind to protect the Dharma; below, he explains that they can be saved, first stating that such a person is not called one of the five heinous sins; from "If one gives..." below cites giving to obtain merit to establish that they can be saved. The fault of not repenting is clear in the text and can be understood.
