4.76

上來第一辨妄異真，明凡說我非是佛性，故不見性。「今日」已下是第二段，簡真異妄，明今所說佛性真我非凡所見故性難聽。於中先出真我之體，「如是性」下辨法同喻。

Above, the first section distinguished the false from the true, clarifying that the ordinary talk of a self is not the buddha-nature, and hence they do not see the nature. From "Today..." downward is the second section, which selects the true to distinguish it from the false, explaining that the true self of the buddha-nature expounded today is not what ordinary people see, and therefore the nature is difficult to hear. Therein, it first sets forth the substance of the true self, and from "Such a nature..." downward it explains that the teaching corresponds to the analogy.
