自下第二會通苦諦，昔日說樂，今時說苦，今昔相乖，故須會通。迦葉先問，問中有三：一牒佛所說五陰皆苦直非不然，陰盛是總，故偏牒之；二「何以」下釋；三「如諸經」下徵問請會。

From here below, the second [section] reconciles the truth of suffering. Formerly, pleasure was spoken of, but now, suffering is spoken of; since the present and the past contradict each other, they must be reconciled. Kāśyapa first asks, and within the question there are three parts: First, citing what the Buddha taught that the five aggregates are all suffering, pointing out that this is not so—since the flourishing of the aggregates is the general, it is specifically cited; second, from 'Why' downward is the explanation; third, from 'As in the various sūtras' downward raises the inquiry and requests reconciliation.
