第二段中，句別有四：一觀在家多過，道言「迫迮猶如牢獄」明其有苦，「煩惱由生」彰其有惡；二觀出家多益，「寬廣如空」翻前初句明其有樂，「善法因增」翻向後句明其有善；三明在家於己無利，「不得盡壽淨修梵行」；四「我今應」下正意求出。

In the second section, there are four distinct clauses: first, contemplating that household life has many faults: the statement 'cramped like a prison' clarifies that it involves suffering, and 'afflictions arise from it' reveals that it involves evil; second, contemplating that renunciation has many benefits: 'spacious like the open sky' reverses the previous first clause to clarify that it involves joy, and 'good dharmas increase because of it' reverses the subsequent clause to clarify that it involves goodness; third, clarifying that household life offers no benefit to oneself: 'one cannot purely cultivate brahmacaryā to the end of one's life'; fourth, from 'I should now...' onward, directly resolving to seek renunciation.
