第三段中，初明菩薩定意出家，「我今定當出家修道」；次明降魔波旬生苦，「菩薩復當與我興諍」；後明菩薩無心戰諍。

In the third section, first it clarifies that the bodhisattva resolves his mind to leave home: 'I shall now definitely leave home and cultivate the path'; next, it clarifies that the demon Pāpīyas experiences distress: 'The bodhisattva will again engage in dispute with me'; finally, it clarifies that the bodhisattva has no mind for warfare or dispute.
