上來明其因分所行，下次明其果分所成，謂得無畏自在之地，諸過皆滅故得無畏，妙德圓成故得自在。無畏自在始成初地，餘地漸增，至佛窮滿。文中初明得無畏地，次明菩薩得自在地，「菩薩所成如是無量，況諸佛」下舉劣況勝。

The preceding explained what is practiced on the causal stage; next below, it explains what is accomplished on the fruitional stage, namely attaining the ground of fearlessness and mastery. Because all faults are eradicated, fearlessness is attained; because wondrous virtues are fully realized, mastery is attained. Fearlessness and mastery are first accomplished on the first ground, increasing gradually through the remaining grounds, reaching ultimate fullness in the Buddha. In the text, it first explains the attainment of the ground of fearlessness, and next explains the bodhisattva's attainment of the ground of mastery; from 'What the bodhisattva accomplishes is boundless like this, how much more so the Buddhas' onward uses the inferior to illustrate the superior.
