Below, its marks are analyzed. According to the Daśabhūmika Sūtra, mastery has ten [aspects]: first, mastery over life, sustaining it as one wishes; second, mastery over mind, entering immeasurable samādhis at will; third, mastery over material provisions, manifesting immeasurable pure lands as one wishes; fourth, mastery over karma, abiding for a period of time as one wishes in the present or future life; fifth, mastery over rebirth, manifesting rebirth in all worlds as one wishes; sixth, mastery over vows, attaining buddhahood at all times and places as one wishes; seventh, mastery over conviction, manifesting worlds everywhere filled with buddhas; eighth, mastery over miraculous powers, transforming all buddha-realms according to one's intent; ninth, mastery over dharmas, manifesting and entering limitless dharma-illuminations as one wishes; tenth, mastery over knowledge, being endowed with the knowledge of all aspects of the buddhas and Tathāgatas.
