5.308

第二番中，先舉二瞋，次列，後治。「瞋眾生」者，應生處生，或容浮薄，故慈能治；「瞋非眾生」，不應處起，性必深重，修悲方治。

In the second round, it first cites the two kinds of hatred, next lists them, and then gives the remedies. "Hating sentient beings" arises where it is appropriate to arise and may perhaps be shallow, so benevolence can treat it; "hating non-sentient beings" arises where it should not, and its nature must be deep and heavy, so only cultivating compassion can treat it.
