In the third section, "The four immeasurable minds can serve as the root of all goods" generally explains that benevolence and the others can generate real practice; below, it explains this specifically. In the specific explanation, it discusses it tentatively in terms of benevolence alone; the rest can be understood by analogy. Therein, it first explains the generation of the unshared wholesome dharmas of the Mahāyāna; from "Śrāvakas, pratyekabuddhas, bodhisattvas, and buddhas take benevolence as their root" onward, it explains the generation of the wholesome dharmas practiced in common by the three vehicles.
