自下第二明婆羅門全無善根，為是殺之不入地獄。於中有三：一舉外道三品邪殺；二「佛及菩薩知殺三」下翻對前邪，明三正殺；三「若有能殺一闡提」下明己昔日殺婆羅門不入三品正殺之中，以是義故不入地獄。初段可知。

From here down, the second [part] clarifies that the Brahmins entirely lacked good roots, and for this reason killing them did not result in entering hell. In this there are three parts: first, raising the non-Buddhists' three grades of wrong killing; second, below "Buddhas and bodhisattvas know that killing is of three [grades]", turning to contrast with the former wrong [killing] and clarifying the three right killings; third, below "If there is one who is able to kill an icchantika", clarifying that his own past killing of the Brahmins did not fall within the three grades of right killing, and on account of this principle he did not enter hell.
