上來第一自行異世，下明利他，先辯後結。辯中四番：前之三番舉過勸捨，後之一番舉得勸修。就前三中，第一不得破戒傳經、第二不得調戲輕動、第三不得非法說經。

Above was the first part, one's own practice being distinct from the world; below clarifies benefiting others, first explaining and then concluding. In the explanation there are four turns: the first three turns cite faults to exhort abandonment, and the last turn cites merits to exhort cultivation. Among the first three, first, one must not transmit the sūtra while violating precepts; second, one must not be frivolous, flippant, or agitated; third, one must not expound the sūtra contrary to the Dharma.
