就解佛中，先問、後釋。「佛者名覺」翻名總釋，「自覺、覺他」別以顯之。「譬如」已下顯自覺相，先喻後合。覺有兩義，備如上辯，今此偏就覺察釋之。「是故」下結。

In explaining 'buddha', there is first a question and then an explanation. 'A buddha is called awakened' translates the name and explains it comprehensively; 'awakened oneself, awakening others' reveals it distinctively. From 'like' onward, it reveals the characteristic of self-awakening, first with a simile and then an application. Awakening has two meanings, fully analyzed as above; here it is interpreted particularly in terms of awakening and perception. From 'for this reason' onward, it concludes.
