次釋婆伽，先舉、後解，七義釋之。前舉世尊，此解婆伽，皆是佛號，趣舉皆得。前明所念，「若男若女」下辯明能念之利益也。

Next is the explanation of 'bhagavant': first raising it, then explaining it, interpreting it through seven meanings. Previously 'World-Honoured One' was raised, and here 'bhagavant' is explained; both are titles of the Buddha, and either may be cited. The former clarifies the object of mindfulness; from 'if a man or woman' onward, it analyzes and clarifies the benefits for those capable of mindfulness.
