第二心中，初修信等常為法利，不為食利。次持經法為安眾生，不自為己。「何以」下釋，先開三門：「修出世心」是第一門厭有為心、「出家心」者是第二門求善之心、「無為心」者是第三門趣理之心。

In the second, the mind: first cultivating faith and so forth, constantly for the benefit of the Dharma, not for the benefit of food. Next, upholding the sūtras and Dharma for the pacification of sentient beings, not for oneself. From 'why' onward, it explains, first opening three gates: 'cultivating the transmundane mind' is the first gate, the mind loathing the conditioned; 'the mind of leaving home' is the second gate, the mind seeking the good; 'the unconditioned mind' is the third gate, the mind heading toward principle.
