In the second passage [addressed here], the text distinctively has four points: first, the Tathāgata sets up an analogy and asks Kāśyapa in return: "If someone were to say, 'I can cross the ocean,' is that conceivable or not?" Kāśyapa replies to the Buddha, clarifying that it is not fixed: if an asura crosses, it is conceivable; if a human crosses, it is inconceivable; he answers briefly with "It may be conceivable or inconceivable." From "Why?" downward explains it: this clarifies that an asura's ability to cross is conceivable, which analogizes that the Buddha, the Tathāgata's, ability to cross is conceivable.
