第三段中，「誰得安眠」對初四偈而為徵問，「謂佛」指出，「深觀」已下明安所以。「觀空三昧」是初段中前之三偈離煩惱業，「身心不動」是初段中第四一偈身心無惱、安住靜等。

In the third section, "Who attains peaceful sleep?" raises a questioning challenge with respect to the initial four verses. "It refers to the Buddha" points out [the answer]. From "deeply contemplates" onward explains the reason for his peacefulness. The "samādhi of contemplating emptiness" corresponds to the first three verses of the first section, which concern detachment from the afflictions and karma. "Immobility of body and mind" corresponds to the fourth verse of the first section, where body and mind are without affliction and abide peacefully in stillness and the like.
