願中三偈，初偈自利，願不造惡；後二利他，於中初半願生發心，次有半偈願生思佛，次有半偈願生破惱，末後半偈願生見性。

Regarding the vows, there are three stanzas: the first stanza is for self-benefit, vowing not to commit evil; the latter two are for benefiting others, within which the first half-stanza vows that sentient beings give rise to the aspiration [for bodhi], the next half-stanza vows that beings be mindful of the Buddha, the next half-stanza vows that beings destroy afflictions, and the final half-stanza vows that beings perceive their nature.
