6.70

「菩薩已於無量劫」下廣上後門明不取得，句別有六：一明菩薩無量劫來知法知義、二知法義故於色不著乃至於識、三不著故不生貪心、四不貪故不為色等之所繫縛、五不縛故脫生老死一切煩惱、六「以是」下結。上來正明菩薩無著，「以是緣」下引說證成，於中初法、次喻、後合，「以是」下結。

From "The bodhisattva, for immeasurable kalpas" onward, it expands upon the latter gate above to clarify the attainment of non-attachment, with six distinct clauses: first, it clarifies that the bodhisattva has known dharmas and known meanings for immeasurable kalpas; second, because of knowing dharmas and meanings, they do not attach to form and so on up to consciousness; third, because of not attaching, they do not give rise to a mind of greed; fourth, because of not having greed, they are not bound by form and the like; fifth, because of not being bound, they are liberated from birth, old age, death, and all afflictions; sixth, from "Therefore" onward, it concludes. The preceding directly clarifies that the bodhisattva has no attachment; from "For this reason" onward, it cites teachings to confirm and establish it, wherein there is first the doctrine, next a simile, and finally the application; from "Therefore" onward, it concludes.
