四明此偈為純陀說，彰佛有得。純陀向前疑佛不得常住之法，故對其人明佛有得，義如上解。以此會通不但說佛，是以說言「不但正為純陀一人」。

Fourth, it explains that this verse was spoken for Cunda, demonstrating that the Buddha has attainment. Earlier, Cunda doubted that the Buddha could attain the permanently abiding dharma; therefore, for that person, it explains that the Buddha has attainment, the meaning being as explained above. By integrating and understanding this, it is not spoken only for the Buddha; therefore it says, "not only primarily for Cunda alone."
