四依前治中，不見眾生及所受用斷除愛患，由觀五陰無人相故，「雖復覩見端正女人不生貪著」，「何以」下釋。此後一對。

Fourth, relying on the former practice of remedy—not seeing sentient beings and what they experience and use—to sever and eradicate the affliction of craving: because they contemplate the five aggregates as devoid of the mark of a person, 'even if they again see a beautiful woman, they do not give rise to covetous clinging'; 'why is this...' and below explains it. This is the latter pair.
