From here on is the fourth [part], contemplating the lightness and gravity of outflows. In this there are four: first, contemplating evil friends as equal to evil elephants; second, from 'why is this...' below explains it: 'both destroy the body' means that those evil elephants and so forth destroy the present body, while evil spiritual friends destroy the future body; third, contemplating evil friends as exceeding evil elephants and so forth, which is why bodhisattvas feel no terror in their minds toward evil elephants and so forth, yet give rise to fear toward evil spiritual friends; fourth, from 'why is this...' below explains it, wherein it first makes a comparison in six clauses; from 'therefore' below, it especially abandons according to gravity, first generally, next specifically, and below concludes as a whole. 'Ordinary people do not abandon them, therefore give rise to outflows' brings up the ordinary to reveal the noble; 'bodhisattvas abandon...' and so forth distinguishes the noble as different from the ordinary; from 'if even bodhisattvas...' below uses the cause to illustrate the fruit, clarifying that the Buddha is without outflows.
