From here on is the fifth [part], clarifying that the Buddha, the Tathāgata, is devoid of the outflow of close association. In the text there are specifically three: first, clarifying the essence of the outflow; second, the bodhisattva severing it; third, clarifying that the Buddha is devoid of it. In clarifying the essence of the outflow, first questioning, next explaining, and afterwards concluding can be known. In the bodhisattva severing it, first explaining and afterwards concluding. In the explanation, first it clarifies seeing faults and abandoning them; from 'if needing robes...' below, all that is needed is accepted, first specifically and afterwards generally. In the specific, it clarifies the purpose of acceptance specifically regarding the four requisites of robes, food, lodging, and medicines; herein, first is the dharma, next the analogy, and afterwards the application. From 'accepting the four offerings for the sake of bodhi' below is the general: first acceptance, afterwards explanation; from 'therefore' below concludes, bringing up the ordinary to reveal the noble to clarify that bodhisattvas sever it; that the Buddha is devoid of it can be known.
