From here down, the seventh section clarifies the absence of the outflow of thought. The text has three parts: first, clarifying the substance of the outflow; second, clarifying the bodhisattva's eradication; third, clarifying the Buddha's absence [of it]. Within clarifying the substance of the outflow: 'If an ordinary person encounters physical and mental pain and distress, they give rise to various evils' generally clarifies that an ordinary person's wrong thoughts give rise to outflows. From 'If one obtains physical...' onward specifically clarifies the arising of outflows. From 'Because of committing evil...' onward clarifies that evil brings harm. From 'Why...' onward explains that it is due to lacking mindful wisdom. From 'This is called...' onward concludes.
