後一過者，四蛇可以呪藥療治，四大不爾。「如自喜」下合人捨走，於中先舉諸佛菩薩同皆捨離，明其可厭，「菩薩思」下修治捨離。

Regarding the last one that 'surpasses': the four snakes can be cured with incantations and medicine, but the four elements are not so. From 'Like taking joy in oneself...' onward applies the person abandoning and fleeing: therein, it first adduces that the buddhas and bodhisattvas all alike abandon them, showing that they are loathsome; from 'The bodhisattva reflects...' onward concerns cultivating antidotes to abandon them.
