次合第二，先合旃陀，後合捨去。前中初言「五旃陀羅即是五陰」舉喻略合，「云何」下廣。廣中有其十六復次，初七觀陰如旃陀羅，「菩薩觀陰過旃陀」下有九復次，觀察五陰過旃陀羅，「有智人」下合去可知。次合第三詐親之喻，先合詐親，後合不信。前中初言「詐親名愛」，舉喻略合。

Next is the application of the second [parable]. First it applies the caṇḍālas, and afterwards it applies abandoning and leaving them. In the former, it first states, "The five caṇḍālas are the five aggregates," briefly applying the simile by raising it. From "How is it..." downward, it expands [upon it]. Within the expansion there are sixteen points. The first seven contemplate the aggregates as being like caṇḍālas. From "A bodhisattva contemplates that the aggregates surpass the caṇḍālas" downward, there are nine points that contemplate the five aggregates as surpassing caṇḍālas. From "A wise person..." downward, the application to leaving is understood. Next is the application of the third parable, of the false friend. First it applies the false friend, and afterwards it applies not trusting [him]. In the former, it first states, "A false friend is called craving," briefly applying the simile by raising it.
