7.181

「一切眾生以愛結」下合上不信，於中初先反明凡夫信愛故住，後明菩薩不信故去。前中初言「眾生以愛遠大涅槃，近生死」等正顯其過，「是故我」下引說顯過。言「三垢」者，當應是其三毒垢也，以彼愛結遠大涅槃，近生死故，世尊說之為三垢中貪欲垢也。「於現在事以無明」下彰彼凡夫不離，所以怨詐。「不害有智人」下辯明菩薩不信故去。

From "All sentient beings, because of the fetter of craving..." downward applies the aforementioned lack of trust. Therein, it first negatively explains that ordinary persons, because of trusting craving, remain; afterwards it explains that bodhisattvas, because of not trusting it, leave. In the former, it first states, "Sentient beings, because of craving, are far from great nirvāṇa and close to saṃsāra," directly revealing its fault. From "Therefore I..." downward, it cites teachings to reveal the fault. Regarding "the three stains": these must refer to the stains of the three poisons. Because that fetter of craving keeps them far from great nirvāṇa and close to saṃsāra, the World-Honoured One spoke of it as the stain of lustful desire among the three stains. From "Regarding present matters, with ignorance..." downward, it exposes the reason why those ordinary persons do not depart: it is a deceitful enemy. From "Does not harm the wise person..." downward, it explains that bodhisattvas, because of not trusting it, leave.
