次合空聚，於中先合空聚之喻，後明菩薩修治捨離。前中初言「聚即六入」，舉喻略合。下廣合中有六復次，前五如聚，後一過聚。

Next is the application of the deserted village. Therein, it first applies the parable of the deserted village, and afterwards explains the bodhisattva's cultivation, remedy, and abandonment. In the former, it first states, "The village is the six sense-bases," briefly applying the simile by raising it. Below, in the expanded application, there are six points: the first five are like the village, and the last one surpasses the village.
