教離凡中，初「聞法敬信」教離疑謗、二「至心聽受」教離寬怠、三「恭敬尊重」教離輕末、四「於正法」下教離憎惡、五「莫念貪」下教離垢心、六「莫觀」下教離嫌心、七「既聞法」下教離慢心、八「莫為」已下教離妄想異求之心。

Among those teaching the abandonment of the ordinary [mind]: first, "reverently having faith upon hearing the Dharma" teaches the abandonment of doubt and slander; second, "listening and receiving with the utmost mind" teaches the abandonment of laxity and indolence; third, "being reverent and respectful" teaches the abandonment of slighting [the teaching] as insignificant; fourth, from "toward the true Dharma" downward teaches the abandonment of hatred and disgust; fifth, from "do not harbor greed" downward teaches the abandonment of a defiled mind; sixth, from "do not view" downward teaches the abandonment of a resentful mind; seventh, from "having heard the Dharma" downward teaches the abandonment of an arrogant mind; eighth, from "do not, for the sake of..." downward teaches the abandonment of a mind of false discrimination and seeking differently.
