下廣釋之。解初門中，初問次辯。「根名不放」正出根體，謹攝之心是不放逸。次解根義，先問後辯。「謂菩提根」對果正論，「諸佛善本皆不放逸」重復顯之。「不放逸故餘善增」下解深難拔，拔則不增，增故不拔。於中初舉「餘善轉增」正明難拔，「以能增」下嘆以顯勝。此二為門。

Below, it extensively explains them. In explaining the first door, there are first a question and next an explanation. "The root is called non-laxity" directly brings out the essence of the root: the carefully guarded mind is non-laxity. Next, it explains the meaning of "root"; there are first a question and then an explanation. "Namely, the root of bodhi" discusses it directly in relation to the fruit; "the wholesome roots of all buddhas are all non-laxity" re-clarifies it. From "because of non-laxity, the remaining goods increase" and so on, it explains "deep and difficult to uproot": if uprooted, they would not increase; because they increase, they are not uprooted. In this, first raising "the remaining goods increasingly augment" directly explains "difficult to uproot"; from "because of being able to increase" and so on, it praises it to reveal its supremacy. These two serve as doors.
