第二行中，初問次辯。辯中，「於身生決定」等明起定心，「不作狹」等離不定心，先開三門：「不狹」一門、「不小」第二、「不變」第三。下重顯之，「不作聲聞、辟支佛心」釋前不小，「不作魔心，及自樂心、樂生死心」釋前不變，「常為眾生求慈悲心」釋前不狹。「是名」下結，初先略結，「我於來」下牒以重結。

In the second practice, there are first a question and next an explanation. In the explanation, "generating certainty regarding the body" and so on explains giving rise to the mind of certainty; "not producing narrowness" and so on leaves the non-fixed mind. First it opens three doors: "not narrow" is the first door, "not small" is the second, and "not changing" is the third. Below, it re-clarifies them: "not producing the mind of a śrāvaka or pratyekabuddha" explains the previous "not small"; "not producing the mind of Māra, nor the mind of self-enjoyment or the mind of delighting in saṃsāra" explains the previous "not changing"; "always seeking a mind of benevolence and compassion for sentient beings" explains the previous "not narrow". "This is named" and so on is the conclusion: first it briefly concludes, and from "I in the future" and so on, it takes it up to conclude again.
