次解知僧，先問，次辯。辯中有九，「常樂我淨」大乘僧也，「弟子相」下小乘僧也。現稟聖教名弟子相，人麁易覩故言「可見」，行順名「善」，「真」與「不實」下文自解。

Next, it explains knowing the Saṅgha, first questioning and then explaining. Within the explanation there are nine items: "permanence, bliss, self, and purity" is the Mahāyāna Saṅgha; from "the mark of disciples" onward is the Hīnayāna Saṅgha. Presently receiving the noble teaching is called the mark of disciples; because persons are coarse and easy to see, it says "visible"; when practice is compliant, it is called "wholesome"; "true" and "unreal" are explained of themselves in the text below.
