問曰：向前第五句難，何故不答？如來解前第一難中明諸眾生闇故不見，修故始見，眾生雖有見與不見，涅槃恒有故得名常。彼難即遣，所以不釋。又問：向前第七句難何故不解？下文宣說涅槃無名，強與立名，此難即遣，為是不釋。

Question: Why did [the Buddha] not answer the fifth objection mentioned earlier? [Answer:] In the Tathāgata's explanation of the first objection earlier, he clarified that because sentient beings are shrouded in darkness, they do not see, and only through cultivation do they newly see; although sentient beings have seeing and non-seeing, nirvāṇa is constantly existent and thus can be called permanent. That objection was thereby dispelled, so it is not explained [again]. Another question: Why did he not resolve the seventh objection mentioned earlier? [Answer:] The text below proclaims that nirvāṇa has no name, but a name is arbitrarily established for it; this objection is thereby dispelled, and for this reason it is not explained [here].
