第二段中，初言「智者」標別解人，人謂菩薩。人言：智者牒前智慧。乍看似是，審思則非。前空與慧並是所顯中道之性，今言智者標舉解人約之辯中，非牒前智。「見空、不空，乃至無我」彰其所解。「空者，一切生死」已下辯其所解。

In the second section, initially saying "the wise person" marks and distinguishes the person of understanding; the person refers to the bodhisattva. Someone says: "The wise person" takes up the preceding wisdom. At first glance it seems right, but when carefully considered it is wrong. The preceding emptiness and wisdom are both the nature of the middle way that is revealed; now, saying "the wise person" marks and adduces the person of understanding to discriminate the middle with reference to him, not taking up the preceding wisdom. "Seeing the empty, the non-empty, up to non-self" makes evident what he understands. From "The empty is all of saṃsāra" onward discriminates what he understands.
