上來三番合為第二，偏解中道。自下第三偏明種子，文還有三，與前相似。於前三中，從後向前次第說種，先就第三因緣觀行以說種子，「以是義」下就前第二因緣之理以說種子，「性者有因、有因因」下就前第一因緣理行以說種子。初中「是觀十二緣智即是阿耨菩提種」者，牒上第三因緣觀智就說種也。

The above three turns together constitute the second [section], which specifically explains the middle way. The third [section] below specifically clarifies the seed; its text likewise has three [parts], resembling the preceding. Among the preceding three, it speaks of the seed sequentially from the latter to the former: first it speaks of the seed in terms of the third, the contemplative practice of dependent origination; "For this reason" and below speaks of the seed in terms of the preceding second, the principle of dependent origination; "Nature has a cause and a cause-of-cause" and below speaks of the seed in terms of the preceding first, the principle and practice of dependent origination. In the first part, "this wisdom contemplating the twelve links is the seed of anuttarabodhi" takes up the preceding third, the contemplative wisdom of dependent origination, to speak of the seed.
