「具四精進名精進」者，謂四正勤。「四念」可知。言「具四禪名四定」者，謂四如意，亦可是其色界四禪，此四力強故偏舉之。「見四實故名正慧」者，見四諦也。餘皆可知。

Where it says, 'endowed with four diligences is called diligence,' it refers to the four right exertions. The 'four mindfulnesses' can be understood. Where it says, 'endowed with the four dhyānas is called the four concentrations,' it refers to the four bases of psychic power, or it may be the four dhyānas of the form realm; these four have great power, which is why they are specifically raised. Where it says, 'seeing the four realities is called right wisdom,' it refers to seeing the four truths. The rest can all be understood.
