第二段中，初先汎論，「一切引喻不必盡取，或取少分或多或全」；次立兩種少分之喻，「我言燈」者約之顯前。

In the second section, first he discusses generally: "All cited analogies do not necessarily take [everything]; they take either a small part, or a large part, or the entirety"; next he establishes two kinds of partial analogies; "what I said of the lamp" uses this to clarify what went before.
