8.320

就初段中先舉八喻，喻實有十，簡去少分及與多分，故但言八；次列其名；下廣辯釋。雖舉八喻為對最後，遍喻辯異餘乘論之。

In the first section, he first adduces eight analogies. In reality there are ten analogies, but setting aside the partial and the majority ones, he only speaks of eight; next he lists their names; below he explains them at length. Although he adduces eight analogies to contrast with the last, he uses all the analogies to explain the differences, discussing them with respect to the other vehicles.
