Within wisdom, first is a question, followed by a differentiation of its characteristics. "Being able to destroy worldly views" is the general statement; from "Namely..." downward is the specific breakdown. Within the specific breakdown there are seven: 1. Being able to destroy the twenty views of the individual body, with four propositions for each and every aggregate. 2. From "The permanent is the self" downward, destroying the views of annihilation and permanence, first permanence and then annihilation. 3. From "The agent is called the self" downward, destroying the views of self and what belongs to the self: viewing the self as the self and form as what belongs to the self, discussing agent and experiencer mutually, hence there are two propositions. 4. From "There is neither agent nor experiencer; it arises of itself" downward, destroying the view of spontaneous generation (*svabhāva*). 5. "There is neither agent nor experiencer; all is [created by] Maheśvara," destroying the view of causelessness. 6. From "There is neither agent nor experiencer; all is [caused by] time" downward, destroying the view of time. 7. "Agent and experiencer are both nonexistent," destroying the view of the five great elements. From "If one can..." downward is the conclusion.
