8.37

就初難中，「名遇、不遇悉不能發，是義不然」牒以直非，「何以」下釋，「如是之人當得菩提」略釋顯非。

Within the first objection, 'Whether they are termed encountering or not encountering [the conditions], all are incapable of generating [the resolve]—this meaning is not so' cites [the statement] to directly negate it. 'Why is this?' and so forth explains it. 'Such a person will attain bodhi' briefly explains and exposes the error.
