第二難中，初牒如來斷善之言直非不然，「何以」下釋，「不斷佛性」略釋顯非，「性理不斷，云何說斷」重釋顯非。

In the second objection, it first cites the Tathāgata's words about severing the good and directly negates them as incorrect. 'Why is this?' and so forth explains it. 'Does not sever the buddha-nature' briefly explains and exposes the error. 'The principle of the nature is unsevered; how can you say it is severed?' re-explains and exposes the error.
