下佛答之，先嘆後釋。嘆中，初言「善哉」總嘆，「有二」下別。先嘆問益希中，汎舉六種二人明皆希有，為取第六舉餘類之。益中，「轉法」顯正之益，「枯十二」等破生死益，「能與魔」下摧邪之益。

Below, the Buddha answers, first praising and then explaining. In the praise, the opening words 'Excellent!' provide a general praise; from 'There are two' downward is the specific [praise]. First, in praising the rarity of the benefit of the question, he generally adduces six kinds of pairs of people to show that all are rare, in order to single out the sixth by categorizing the others alongside it. Among the benefits: 'turning the Dharma' is the benefit of revealing the correct; 'drying up the twelve [links]' and so forth is the benefit of destroying saṃsāra; from 'being able to [defeat] Māra' downward is the benefit of crushing the heterodox.
