8.52

下合顯法，「佛性如是」合初句中箜篌聲也，「無有」者因，「菩薩住處」合第六句求聲不得，「方便可見」合第八句方便聲出，「以可見故得菩提」者，見得成佛也。

Below, the application reveals the Dharma: 'The buddha-nature is like this' corresponds to the sound of the lute in the first clause; 'there is none' refers to the cause; 'the dwelling place of the bodhisattva' corresponds to the sixth clause, seeking the sound without finding it; 'it can be seen through expedients' corresponds to the eighth clause, the sound coming forth through expedients; 'because it can be seen, one attains bodhi' means that seeing it results in becoming a buddha.
