8.61

下利他中，初起慈行，「若子遇」下明起悲行，「於諸眾生不瞋喜」下明喜捨行。慈中先喻，後合可知。

Below, within benefiting others, it first generates the practice of loving-kindness; "if a child encounters..." and below explains generating the practice of compassion; "toward all sentient beings neither angry nor delighted..." and below explains the practice of sympathetic joy and equanimity. In loving-kindness, first an analogy, and then the correspondence, which can be understood.
