8.62

悲中先喻，喻中初明有病為治，後不計恩。下合顯法，先合為治，「終不念」下合不計恩。於中，初先不念自己為生除惱，先順後反，「唯作念」下無念眾生可為說法令斷煩惱。

In compassion, first an analogy: within the analogy, it first explains treating an existing illness, and then not counting on gratitude. Below, it corresponds to reveal the Dharma: first it corresponds to treating [illness]; "never thinking..." and below corresponds to not counting on gratitude. Therein, first, one does not think of oneself as eliminating afflictions for sentient beings, first in the direct sense and then in the reverse; "only thinking..." and below means having no thought of sentient beings to whom one might preach the Dharma to cause them to sever afflictions.
