8.79

初中有二：一正翻前難，明空三昧是空非倒；二「以世間人見有女」下遮防外難，明聖隨俗說有非倒。就前見空非顛倒中，「是空三昧見不空法能令空寂」述成上義，即為一門；「然非顛倒」翻答前難復為一門。「如鹽作醎，三昧如是，不空作空」顯上初門。

In the first are two parts: 1. directly overturning the previous challenge, clarifying that the samādhi of emptiness is empty and not inverted; 2. "because worldly people see there is a woman..." and below guards against external challenges, clarifying that the sage's conforming to the worldly convention to speak of existence is not inverted. Within the former, seeing emptiness as not inverted: "this samādhi of emptiness, seeing dharmas that are not empty, can cause them to be empty and tranquil" reiterates and accomplishes the above meaning, forming one gate; "yet it is not inverted" turns to answer the previous challenge, forming another gate. "Just as salt creates saltiness, the samādhi is likewise, making what is not empty empty" reveals the first gate above.
