Next, it explains that form is an inverted existence, in which there are four distinct clauses: First, it explains that form exists. Second, from "What is..." onward, it explains the inverted nature of form, first inquiring and then explaining. Third, from "Because of inversion..." onward, it reveals that form is inverted, showing it in terms of greed; "arising greed because of inversion" directly clarifies that it is inverted, while "if form were not inverted, how could greed arise?" refutes [the claim that it is] non-inverted through a challenge. Fourth, from "Because greed arises..." onward, it reveals that form exists, showing it in terms of greed; from "Because of greed arising, it is not non-existent" onward, it reverses the preceding to explain that the bodhisattva's seeing of emptiness is not inverted; "For this reason, cultivating emptiness is not inverted" generally explains non-inversion. Because of the previous meaning that form and greed are inverted existences, cultivating emptiness reverses them and is not called inverted. From "All ordinary beings..." onward, it specifically explains non-inversion; "ordinary beings see a woman and immediately produce the mark of a woman" raises the ordinary to reveal the noble; from "the bodhisattva does not..." onward, it distinguishes the noble as different from the ordinary; "the bodhisattva, though seeing, does not produce the mark of a woman" reverses the previous existence of form to explain non-inversion, and through not producing [the mark], etc., reverses the previous existence of greed to explain non-inversion.
