8.92

此品有二，一問答辯法；二「若有眾生欲得了了見佛性」下嘆經勸學；三品末偈文，師子聞法荷恩讚嘆。前中有六：一如來勸問、二師子許問，此二一對；三如來聽問、四師子正問，此二一對；五如來讚問、六如來答問，此第三對。

This chapter has two parts: first, explaining the Dharma through questions and answers; second, from "If there are sentient beings who wish to clearly see buddha-nature..." onward, praising the sūtra to encourage study; third, the verse passage at the end of the chapter, where Lion, hearing the Dharma, feels gratitude and offers praise. In the first, there are six parts: first, the Tathāgata encourages questioning; second, Lion agrees to question—these two form one pair; third, the Tathāgata permits questioning; fourth, Lion formally questions—these two form one pair; fifth, the Tathāgata praises the questioning; sixth, the Tathāgata answers the questioning—this is the third pair.
