上來分合合為第一明性體狀，下勸修證。「若生了性則不須修」反勸修證。「十住修」下順勸修證。於中有四：一明十住雖修少見；二「況不修」下，以聖況凡，明凡不見，必須修道；三「如文殊」下，彰彼文殊久修乃見；四「云何」下，以大形小，明小不見，必須修道。

From the beginning to this point, the analyses and syntheses taken together constitute the first [section] explaining the characteristics of the essence of the nature. Below, it encourages practice and realization. "If beings thoroughly understood the nature, they would not need to practice" encourages practice and realization through an inverse statement. From "those of the ten abodes cultivate" below directly encourages practice and realization. Herein there are four [points]: 1. explaining that although those of the ten abodes cultivate, they see only a little; 2. from "how much less those who do not cultivate" below, using the sages to draw an analogy with ordinary people, explaining that ordinary people do not see it and must cultivate the path; 3. from "like Mañjuśrī" below, demonstrating that Mañjuśrī saw it only after long cultivation; 4. from "how" below, using the great to contrast with the small, explaining that the small do not see it and must cultivate the path.
