品初至此合為第一問答辨法，自下第二嘆經勸學。初先勸學，「佛性不可思議」已下嘆經殊勝。前中有三：一勸修生欲見佛性應自持經；二「見有」下，勸供持人；三「若有」下，舉經難聞令人敬學。

From the beginning of the chapter up to this point constitutes the first [division], the questions and answers analyzing the Dharma; from here below is the second, praising the sūtra and encouraging study. First it encourages study; from "the buddha-nature is inconceivable" below, it praises the excellence of the sūtra. In the former part there are three [points]: 1. encouraging practitioners who wish to see the buddha-nature to uphold the sūtra themselves; 2. from "seeing that there are..." below, encouraging making offerings to those who uphold it; 3. from "if there are..." below, citing the difficulty of hearing the sūtra to cause people to study it with reverence.
