自下第六明相資助亦不論捨。師子先問，「如經中說，毘婆舍那能破煩惱」，執慧獨能，是一問也。「何故復修舍摩他耶」，疑不假定，是二問也。

From here, the sixth clarifies mutual support, and likewise does not discuss equanimity. Siṃha first asks: "As it says in the sūtra, vipaśyanā can destroy afflictions" clings to wisdom alone being capable—this is one question. "Why again cultivate śamatha?" doubts that there is any need for concentration—this is the second question.
